Psychological testing is the administration of psychological tests. Psychological tests are administered by trained evaluators. A person's responses are evaluated according to carefully prescribed guidelines. Scores are thought to reflect individual or group differences in the construct the test purports to measure. A Psychological test is a standardized measure of a sample of a person's. behaviour that is used to measure the individual differences that exist among people. A. psychological test is an objective and standardized measure of an individual's mental and/or. behavioural characteristics.
The purpose of psychological testing is to create definitive diagnoses of psychiatric conditions and prescriptive protocols (recommendations) to help clients identify strengths and weaknesses (self-awareness), and become successful. The testing recommendations become a Road Map for treatment.
